Various actions, some 500 in number, against the officers and directors of a public corporation for fraud. I represented the second in command in state, federal and related criminal litigation. The c ... hief single action was a 3 month jury trial before Judge Conrad Rushing, now on the Court of Appeal (6th District) which resulted in $750 million plaintiff verdict. My client appealed and the action against him was dismissed. Eventually all criminal charges were dismissed as well.
OUTCOME: Not guilty on chief counts
Accused of assault with intent to do great bodily injury, the jury returned a not guilty verdict on the principal charge.
