Richardson Todd Eagen

Attorney Todd Eagen represents unions and working men and women across Pennsylvania. He has handled cases from Erie to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh to Wilkes-Barre and all points in between.

Attorney Eagen earned his law degree from Penn State - Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle. While attending law school, he was named to the dean’s list and served as a judicial intern for Federal Judge William J. Nealon, who was appointed by President John F. Kennedy. After graduation from law school, Judge Nealon named Attorney Eagen his Senior Law Clerk. He was the first judicial intern Judge Nealon appointed to Law Clerk in the Judge’s forty plus years on the bench.

With the invaluable experience gained from Judge Nealon, Attorney Eagen became an associate for Attorney Robert D. Mariani in Scranton. For seven years he represented unions throughout Northeast and Central Pennsylvania including the Teamsters and United Food and Commercial Workers. Attorney Mariani mentored Attorney Eagen as a young attorney in the labor law field including contract negotiations, interest and grievance arbitration, and unfair labor practice hearings along with litigation at every level in both state and federal court. Attorney Mariani was appointed a Federal Judge in Scranton in 2011.

In 2004, Attorney Eagen joined the law firm of Lightman, Welby & Stoltenberg in the firm’s Harrisburg Office. After working in Harrisburg for a year, the firm opened a new Scranton office in which Attorney Eagen has been the managing partner. Attorney Eagen and his fellow partners specialize in representing unions and working men and women across Pennsylvania. They represent the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association and Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association along with various other unions and have offices in Scranton, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.

Attorney Todd Eagen has continued his family’s tradition in the law. His father, Attorney Michael J. Eagen, Jr., represented working men and women for more than forty years. His grandfather, the late Chief Justice Michael J. Eagen, served as District Attorney and Judge in Lackawanna County before becoming Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Todd and his wife, Mary Gene, reside in Dunmore with their two daughters, Madison and Celia. Mary Gene formerly taught in the Philadelphia School District and Valley View School District. She currently works in the Tunkhannock Area School District as the Assistant Superintendent. Madison and Celia attend school in the Dunmore School District and both dance in the Apprentice Company for the Ballet Theater of Scranton.
