I hired Doug last year for multiple cases, i have a checkered past where ive dealt with multiple criminal defense attorneys and not once have any of those attorneys ever shown the care and compassion in helping get you the least amount of jail time possible but from the moment i hired Doug Vanston he... came to see me the next day he told me exactly what we were fighting and what we were gonna take. Everything he said was going to happen did and then while dealing with violations on top of new charges and i began the preparation of possibly going to jail. And against all odds we won every time and i can peacefully say i am now able to move forward in life free of jail time and i give all my thanks to Doug because he truly fought for me and didnt care once about playing nice and making friends like most lawyers do. I would hire this attorney again and again if you want to win not to mention hes easy on your pockets also!

For a newer lawyer only 8 years out of school…. This man is AMAZING! Very informative when it comes to questions about any law at all! He is very reasonable with his pricing as well! After going broke using a “top-notch” lawyer for a previous case… I found myself at the public defender’s office for a... more serious case! I was looking at some upstate time! I felt in my head dealing with a public defender, I was going upstate and this was a waste of time! Then I met Doug! Let me tell you…. If I ever get into any trouble again… or if a friend asks for a good lawyer…. Doug is my new go-to! He is very pleasant and compassionate when you speak to him. You can text him at any hour of the day and he is getting back to you in minutes, even if it is just to tell you he will call you back! He actually holds his word on getting back to you about any of your concerns! I have watched him move in the courtroom and for a newer lawyer… he owns that room! He moves around the courtroom like he was born to be there! He will also be very real with you and tell you what you need to do as well to make the case go in your favor! I mean yes, we have to do some “self work” …. But it’s only in the best interest of our case going in our favor! He knows what needs to be done and is the realest lawyer I have ever spoken to or had the pleasure to work on my cases! I only see Doug becoming better and better as time goes on! If it’s even possible because Doug is seriously the best lawyer I have ever worked with! So don’t let him being a new lawyer differ you from hiring him on to fight for you! Initially I was charged with a Felony 1 aggravated assault along with a slew of other charges. The first time Doug and I spoke he assured me I wasn't taking a Felony and asked if I was prepared to go to trial. Immediately I felt relieved, this was the first time a court appointed lawyer made me feel ...confident. The second time Doug Vanston amazed me was when I violated my bail, I was arrested and sitting in county. It wasn't even 24 hours before I was released. Doug came to me with an offer the county had made me, no doubt because of the work he was doing on my behalf. Felony 1 aggravated assault to a Misdemeanor 2 simple assault. Meanwhile my daughter who's had health issues since birth was scheduled for surgery in Boston and I wanted this behind me so I agreed to take the offer. Some things are out of everyone's hands and I learned that at my sentencing. The judge gave me 1 - 2 years aggregated sentence, 6-12 for each of my M2 charges ran consecutively. My heart sank knowing I'd miss my daughters heart surgery but out of left field, still a mystery to me, Doug came through for me and I was released from jail to be there for my daughter. When we came home from surgery he told me I didn't have to go back to jail that I can serve my time on house arrest. I'm truly grateful for this man and I know my daughter would be too. Nothing I say or do will show my gratitude. I owe Doug Vanston so much.

I am taking this opportunity to write a review for Attorney Doug Vanston because when no one else would help he did. Doug gave all he had to help my son and to make sure I was informed every step of the way. He worked as hard if not harder than any paid attorney. He believes in what he is doing and ...genuinely cares for those he works with. He is an amazing human being.
