I would much rather be giving him glowing reviews, seriously. Attorney Rapa took my case after i was arrested for Possession with intent. I will always be grateful for his reaching out and doing that, and I believe he had the best intentions. When I first met him in person, it was at the local cou...rt in Lehigh county. From the 1st meeting he advised me to cooperate with the law enforcement that had arrested me. I was totally against that and verbalized that to him numerous times. But he was my lawyer and i trusted him and met with detectives and so forth. When i look back and did some research of my own, i have very serious question about his advice. Any legal information i saw, heavily warned if that is the route you are going to go, absolutely your lawyer must be there to insure they keep their word and know exactly what's expected of me and what they will offer for that cooperation. None of that ever happened, and in the end they did not keep their word and did little to nothing on my behalf. I did everything they asked, but my knowledge was limited of people and criminal activity in the area. They knew that going into it. And in the end, I was sentenced to some incarceration. I never expected miracles, I think my expectations were very realistic, and in my OPINION, he did not live up to those minimal expectations. He did appear in court on time and was prepared as far as i could tell. He is a very nice person, i think he's reasonably intelligent, and i think he means well. But in my case, and my case alone, was not effective in my defense. I gave 3 stars, was going to give 2 for fair. In my appreciation of his taking my case, I just couldn't give that low of a review and I had little to no previous experience with a matter such as this. I read other reviews and wish mine would be similar.

In all fairness, Attorney Matt Rapa did show up for my court appearances on time. I was highly disappointed in his legal defense of my case for several reasons. From the very first court appearance his advice to me was to cooperate with the officers that charged me. And that was the constant them...e throughout the entire case. I was very reluctant and expressed that to Attorney Rapa, and also very specifically told him I was relatively new to the County and didn't know many people to help the police. Yet he assured me at every step this was the one thing to do. And in addition, he never got any agreement in writing, or even a firm oral promise of what i could expect for cooperating and making undercover buys, which i did. And in the end, I got absolutely nothing. He never went with me to meet with the officers and find out what they wanted me to do, I could have incriminated myself because he wasn't ever there. In the end, I got jail time, a lot of parole time, house arrest and monitoring after jail which I never agreed to in the plea deal. It was a disaster and the negative effects I feel more than ever 3 years after it. I left Pennsylvania, and have warrants over my head. He did a disasterous totally ineffective job at defending me in the case. And now there's nothing i can do. I told him i was afraid of this and that's what happened exactly.
