George Charles Morrison

I have worked in a variety of labor and employment areas for more than 10 years. My practice includes proactive counseling, multiple jurisdiction litigation and providing due diligence on corporate matters involving asset and stock sales and mergers.

I counsel employers on compliance with federal, state and local laws concerning individual employment rights, social media, covenants not-to-compete, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, COBRA, personnel policies, and labor and employment issues arising from mass layoffs and plant shutdowns under the WARN Act. I also regularly provide anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training and draft and review employment contracts and handbooks.

I am also a member of my Firm’s Education Law practice group. In this role, I advise colleges and universities on issues related to faculty and student procedural due process rights, contracts, and compliance with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act. I am a certified Civil Rights Investigator and serve as an investigator in the Title IX context.

I am also a private pilot.
