After a thorough investigation into the incident and the surrounding circumstances we discovered that there was insufficient ev ... idence that Client committed the crime. A presentation of the results of our investigation to the State Attorney led to a quick dismissal.

Client stopped by JSO for driving without headlights. During encounter Officer discovered Client's license suspended. Search revealed cocaine, "molly", marijuana, and a Taurus 9mm and 16 9mm rounds. A ... rrested for Armed Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell; Armed Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Sell; Armed Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell; and 17 counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. State offer was 5 years in the Florida State Prison. Defense investigation revealed, among other things, the headlights on a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville cannot be turned off while the vehicle is in gear.
OUTCOME: Charge reduced to Reckless Driving. Adjudication withheld, time served.
Client stopped for speeding over the Beach Blvd bridge leaving Jacksonville Beach. During encounter with JSO, marijuana was located on Client's person, and JSO observed odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, ... lethargic speech.
