OUTCOME: Found Not Guilty At Trial

Client Found Not Guilty in Domestic Violence Case I was charged with Battery on a Cohabitant under Penal Code Section 243(e) (1) [Domestic Violence] and violating a protective order under Penal Code ... Section 166(c) (1). I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo tried to resolve the matter but the District Attorney refused to dismiss the charges. In the end I went to trial. I was found NOT GUILTY of the Domestic Violence charge [under Penal Code Section 243(e) (1) and despite an eye witness against me] although guilty of violating protective order charges [those two convictions were later vacated because Mr. Bruzzo filed a motion for a new trial due to the Judge’s error during trial]; I am very happy with Mr. Bruzzo’s representation and trial skills and I would enthusiastically recommend him. OUTCOME: Case Dismissed

Domestic Violence Charges Dismissed I was charged with Domestic Violence under Penal Code Section 273.5. Two women and my spouse told police I had assaulted my spouse. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo ... to represent me. The matter was set for trial. When my wife refused to testify the District Attorney tried to force her to testify. [A Domestic Violence Victim cannot be incarcerated or arrested for refusing to testify although he/she can be fined] Mr. Bruzzo brought this misconduct to the court’s attention. When the District Attorney tried to get my wife’s statements she made to the police into evidence Mr. Bruzzo argued to keep them out. The court [ruled] that the statements my wife made to the police were inadmissible [in the trial]. The DA then had no evidence and the case was DISMISSED. OUTCOME: Reduced to Misdemeanor on Count 1, NOT GUILTY after trial on Count 2.

I was charged with Felony Aggravated Assault with Force Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury (Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [maximum jail time 4 years prison] and Sexual Battery as a Misdemeanor (Penal ... Code Section 243.4 [maximum jail time 1 year, Life time registration as a sex offender]. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo convinced the Judge to reduce the case [Aggravated Assault Charge] to a misdemeanor even though the assault was on video. We then took the case to trial and Mr. Bruzzo got the jury to find me NOT GIULTY on the sexual battery charge. I am very happy with this result. OUTCOME: Case Dropped before going to court!

Domestic Violence Charges Dropped Prior to Filing the Case My wife and I got into an argument at home one night. She threw some things at me, tried to attack me and I pushed her in self-defense caus ... ing her to fall. The next day she sought medical attention for her injuries and told the Doctor what had happen. I was arrested for Domestic Violence (Penal Code Section 273.5) soon after and bail was set. I was very upset by all this because I did not feel I had done anything wrong and in addition to all that my wife was very intoxicated and out of control on that evening. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me in this matter due to his familiarity with the courts and the District Attorney and his obvious experience with Domestic Violence cases. Mr. Bruzzo heard the facts of my case and then talked to my wife who concurred with my memory of the night. Mr. Bruzzo then had my wife draft and sign a declaration under penalty of perjury describing the events as she remember them. In that declaration she conceded throwing things at me and attacking me, things the police apparently ignored or did not care about. Mr. Bruzzo said he would present my wife’s declaration to the District Attorney PRIOR TO THEM FILING THE CASE which gives them the opportunity NOT to file the case against me. After my wife signed the sworn statement Mr. Bruzzo took the declaration to the District Attorney’s office for their consideration when deciding whether or not to file the case. The District Attorney ended up REJECTING the case … this means that they don’t even file charges and I will never have to go to court on this allegation! OUTCOME: Petition Granted; Arrest ordered Sealed and Destroyed.

Client arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Mr. Bruzzo got case dismissed but arrest remained on record. Three years later Mr. Bruzzo files a Petition to Seal and Destroy Records /Factual ... Innocence Motion and it is GRANTED. This is an order to law enforcement from the court to seal and then destroy the record of the arrest. It will clean up client's record.

I was charged with H&S 11350, Possession of Heroin a felony. I had previously been convicted of a felony as well. Mr. Bruzzo was able to negotiate a dismissal of the felony even though the evidence against me was very strong. I received credit for one day in jail [Credit Time Served] and informal probation. In addition I did not have to attend a program. I was charged with Driving on a Suspended License (Vehicle Code Section 14601.1); in addition, I had a prior conviction of Driving without a License (Vehicle Code Section Section 12500). Both cases wen ... t to warrant because I did not appear or I did not complete my requirements. I had 10 days of jail suspended on my old case when I picked up the new case for Driving on a Suspended License (Vehicle Code Section 14601.1) I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his familiarity with the courts and District Attorney in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo got me a program where the Driving on a Suspended License (Vehicle Code Section 14601.1) got DISMISSED after I completed the program.
