About Nicholas
Biography
I have been a practicing attorney since 1986. I was raised in a large Greek- American family to care about people and make a difference in my community. My father has been a Greek Orthodox priest for over 50 years and my parents taught me and my siblings that "you make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give."
For the past 30 years, I have represented the victims of personal injury against corporations, insurance companies and their insureds who have caused serious injuries to my clients. I have had the opportunity of handling complex personal injury lawsuits and cases and my law firm, Hagelgans & Veronis, has recovered over 400 million dollars in settlements and verdicts for our clients since its establishment.
My goal and mission is to treat all of our clients with respect and handle their cases in an expeditious and conscientious manner. I have learned that people may forget what you said to them and over time even what you did for them, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
I am grateful for all my blessings which include an excellent education, a successful and challenging legal career, a beautiful family and quality relationships in life. In representing so many diverse clients, I have learned that what Booker T. Washington once said is so true:
"Success in life is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he or she has overcome while trying to succeed. " I try to do the right thing everyday and live by the maxims of one of my heroes who said: In this life, we cannot all do great things but we can all do small things with great love."
