He also authored an article for The Child Advocate entitled “Who Will Protect Your Rights” in Pennsylvania.
In addition to the presentation of seminars and drafting of seminar materials, Attorney Keenan has served in a variety of capacities on various committees associated with the legal profession and the community. Attorney Keenan has contributed to the community by volunteering time to serve on The Manheim Central School District Curriculum Committee, Vice President of Performance Arts for Children Literacy Project, the Economics Club of York, the York County Chamber of Commerce, and Lancaster Recreation Commission. He has been a volunteer speaker with the York County “Fathers Workshop” and he provides free seminars to members of the community concerning divorce, custody, support, property distribution issues, and grandparent custody rights.
In 2009, Attorney Keenan was awarded the Special Pro Bono Recognition Award by Mid-Penn Legal Service for outstanding community service. Attorney Keenan’s community service also extended to coaching soccer teams which resulted in a national championship title and a state championship title. While in college, Attorney Keenan was a member of the collegiate soccer and baseball teams, Vice President to the Student Government, and was a founding member of the Maryland Sigma Chapter for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
While at Howard University, School of Social Work, Attorney Keenan was named to the National Deans List of Graduate Students and was the recipient of a Child Welfare Scholarship. After working several years in the inner city of Washington, D.C. providing counseling to juvenile recidivists and their families, Attorney Keenan worked for approximately six and a half years at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center (CHNMC) in Washington, D.C. as a social worker in the emergency room and shock trauma unit. During his tenure at CHNMC, Attorney Keenan began his work at Howard University School of Law. After graduation from Howard University, Attorney Keenan practiced law in the Commonwealth of Virginia before moving to Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1990. After approximately eight (8) years of general civil litigation, Attorney Keenan focused exclusively on family law since 1996.

Great Child custody attorney
