Melanie Taylor Wiesman

Melanie Wiesman is a criminal defense attorney practicing in York County, PA. Prior to starting her own firm, Mrs. Wiesman was on the Executive Staff of the York County District Attorney's Office where she served as the Chief Deputy of Special Prosecutions, handling all suspicious deaths, homicides, homicides by vehicle, and overdose deaths in York County.

In addition to being licensed in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Wiesman is also licensed to practice law in the states of Florida and Texas. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania in 2019, Mrs. Wiesman lived in Dallas, Texas where she worked as a Felony Prosecutor for the Collin County District Attorney's Office. During her time in Texas, Mrs. Wiesman tried numerous jury trials including DUIs, drug possession, aggravated assault, and cases involving sexual abuse of children.

Mrs. Wiesman completed undergrad at the University of Georgia in 2009 and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 2013. After graduating law school, Mrs. Wiesman worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney in Broward County, Florida where she prosecuted thousands of cases. Before moving to Texas in 2015, Mrs. Wiesman worked for a criminal defense firm where she defended high-profile cases in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Palm Beach County.
