Mac Gregor John Brillhart

Mac is a shareholder in the Saxton & Stump Trusts and Estates and Senior Care groups, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in all matters of estate planning and administration, fiduciary litigation, and elder law. He works with clients on wills, durable powers of attorney, living wills, and trusts. He also handles incapacity hearings/guardianships, name changes, adoptions, and Medicaid matters.

In addition to his private practice, Mac has been the solicitor for the York County Register of Wills and clerk of the York County Orphans’ Court since 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mac oversaw the first electronic Will probate in York County’s history. He came to Saxton & Stump in 2025, joining the firm with the attorneys and professionals of longtime York County law firm Stock & Leader.

Over the last decade, Mac has generously donated his time, leadership, and knowledge of estate planning to help those in need of his services. For twelve years, Mac served as the York County coordinator of the “Wills for Heroes” program, which helps veterans, first responders, and their spouses craft wills and other estate planning documents. He is also part of the leadership team of the York County Bar Association’s “Leave A Legacy York County,” which is designed to inspire county residents to make bequests in their estate planning documents. Mac serves on the UPMC Memorial Board of Directors and in 2015 the Central Penn Business Journal named him to its “Forty Under 40” list.

Mac earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond.
