My name is Diana Spurlin. I have been licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania since 2010. I am a strong and experienced litigator, having handled in excess of thirty jury trials as well as dozens of pretrial motion hearings, preliminary hearings, sentencing hearings and more. As a former prosecutor, I know how the "other side" thinks and operates, which I use to your advantage as I analyze the facts and circumstances of your specific situation and anticipate the arguments of the prosecutor handling your case.

I became a defense attorney because I love helping people, and because I believe that everyone deserves to have their rights under the PA and US Constitutions protected. Unfortunately, sometimes law enforcement violates your rights in stopping, searching, or arresting you. If your rights have been violated, you need a defense attorney who is willing to fight for you and hold law enforcement responsible for their actions. While I handle all types of criminal matters, I am particularly knowledgeable in the areas of DUI, child abuse, and sexual assault. In Pennsylvania, the DUI and child abuse laws are constantly changing, so it's important to seek out a defense attorney like me who stays on top of the changes in the laws. Additionally, conviction of a sexual crime has many collateral consequences, such as having to register as a sex offender or being on harsh "sex offender conditions" of probation. Someone convicted of a sexual offense needs a defense attorney like me who is familiar with not just the criminal law but all the laws and policies that impact people convicted of sexual crimes. My specialized knowledge in these areas allows me to provide my clients with the best advice possible and gives them an advantage if their case goes to a hearing or trial.

I am honest and realistic with my clients. If your rights have been violated, or if there is a way to fight your case at trial, I will absolutely fight for you. But I won't make you any promises I cannot keep, because that isn't fair to you. Sometimes the most I can do for my clients is try to get them the lightest sentence possible.
