Melissa Peel Greevy

Ms. Greevy is a Shareholder with Johnson, Duffie, Stewart & Weidner in Lemoyne. She focuses her practice on family law. Ms. Greevy is frequently selected to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in high conflict custody matters. In addition, she has served as a Parenting Coordinator, Mediator and Arbitrator in numerous family law matters. Ms. Greevy served as a Custody Conciliator for the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas from 2000-2007 and again in 2012. She served as a consultant to the Perry County Division of the 41st Judicial District in the design of their Custody Conciliation program. She has served as a faculty member on several continuing education courses offered by the Dauphin County Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association, Inns of Court and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Ms. Greevy received her B.A. in psychology from the University of North Texas in 1977 and her J.D., cum laude, from Widener University in 1996. Before entering the practice of law, she worked for 14 years as a social worker at the Harrisburg Institute of Psychiatry. Ms. Greevy received her Family Mediation training in 2000 and has received advanced mediation training in areas such as alimony, apology, custody and dealing with impasse. In 2003, she was recognized as an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). This designation is reserved for family and divorce mediators who have met strict training and experience requirements.

Ms. Greevy was a founding member of the Collaborative Professionals of Central Pennsylvania and chaired the group in 2005. She is a member of the Family Law sections of the Dauphin County, Cumberland County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Ms. Greevy served on Council to the PBA Family Law Section and is Co-chair of the Legislative Committee. She is a past Chair of the Custody Committee of the Cumberland County Bar Association and is a member of the Family Law Advisory Committee to the Bench of Dauphin County.
