I served in a case where the family of an aging widower was struggling to know what to do. He was becoming forgetful about finances and medications, and he had a caregiving companion whose influence w ... as unknown. The family was worried that he was going to be taken advantage of, and he didn't have much money to begin with. We were able to identify and stabilize his finances (and I discovered an additional $250,000!), make certain that he was well taken care of, appoint a Conservator, and keep the family intact.
