A boy's paternal grandmother had been his primary caregiver for eight years, since he was an infant. She filed a petition for guardianship when the boy's mother returned suddenly and asked for him to m ... ove in with her and her boyfriend. I represented the grandmother for over a year through numerous temporary guardianship orders, visitation violations and modifications, and home visits. Finally we won guardianship for my client with limited visitation for the mother supervised at an agency near my client's home.
