Child Custody Case

The dad is seeking joint custody and 50-50 parenting time. There certainly are many cases where this may be appropriate, but this is not one. The 8 year old daughter of my new client is scared to go ... to her dad's house because she is afraid of her dad's "wicked step-mother" girlfriend. It's almost like Cinderella. Child has begun to have nightmares and high anxiety. Both parents should be making child centered decisions. By focusing on what he wants rather than what is in his child's best interests, he is making a self-centered decision.
