Daniel Patrick Marnen

Mr. Marnen graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Film Studies. In September 2006, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Marnen is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Marnen devotes a majority of his practice to the realm of family law representing clients with divorce, equitable distribution, child custody, adoption (including same-sex adoption), and other ancillary family law matters. He also practices regularly in Orphans’ Court matters such as guardianship of incapacitated persons and minors and estate litigation. Mr. Marnen also assists clients with estate planning, which includes drafting wills, durable powers of attorney, durable healthcare powers of attorney, special needs trusts and long-term care planning.

While attending law school, Mr. Marnen was placed on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List and received a Tuition Scholarship for academic performance. He was also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. As a photojournalist, Mr. Marnen was honored numerous times by the National Press Photographers Association for outstanding work in photojournalism.

Mr. Marnen is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Erie County Bar Associations. When not practicing law, Mr. Marnen enjoys skiing, sailing, rollerblading, and is an avid movie buff.
