I had hired Attorney Heiman for to handle my divorce and resulting custody issues.
First off, he isn’t very personable. I often felt like I was being scolded by him and he had a habit of arguing over trial issues with me, such as the correct spelling of my street name.
While knowledgeable about the law, he seemed to know nothing about me. I would be billed for his “preparation” time, yet once we went into a hearing he would refer to my son as my daughter and constantly mispronounced my last name. I don’t know what type of “preparation” he was doing, but apparently it had nothing to do with me.
Attorney Heiman is also very expensive, costing me about $800 for an hour long custody hearing.
Since I started representing myself (and I am by far not a lawyer), I have been granted three times as much time with my son and my payments to my ex have gone down by half.

Ron is a great guy, he is knowledgeable and efficient. I believe that Ron does his best to represent his client. He does not mince words nor does he patronize, however he will give you your money's worth regarding representation. The guy has many years of courtroom experience under his belt.

Did not have a good experience with this lawyer. He was not personable at all. Was very hard to communicate with him. Did not listen to me as a client very well. I felt very lost during the hearings with him.
