I was one of three lawyers who sued the California Department of Health Care Services (Director Toby Douglas as named defendant) over the Legislature's elimination of adult dental, chiropractic and pod ... iatry benefits to federally qualified health center and rural health clinic patients. For our work on this case, my co-counsel and I were named "Heroes" of the California Primary Care Association for 2013. Note, the case went on from 2010-2013; below "case date" is an approximation.
