Liberty J. Weyandt is a partner at The Lynch Law Group. Her practice is focused in Family Law, Collaborative Law, Employment Litigation and Estates and Probate.
In her Family Law practice, Liberty handles matters related to divorce, equitable distribution, support, child custody, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and protection from abuse matters. In addition to handling traditional family law litigation matters in Court, Liberty is also a trained Collaborative Law Attorney and Mediator. Through her Collaborative Law practice, clients can choose an alternative dispute resolution process in which the parties and their attorneys work together to resolve their disputes respectfully and civilly, without ever going to Court. Her Collaborative practice is not limited to divorce, as civil, probate and employment matters can also be handled collaboratively.
In her employment law practice, Liberty handles cases involving a multitude of prohibited work place discrimination and harassment charges under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, such as gender, sexual, religious, national origin, race, and pregnancy discrimination and harassment, in addition to matters under the Family Medical Leave Act, the American’s with Disabilities Act, the Wage and Labor Act, and the Age Discrimination Act. She also can assist clients with review and/or drafting of employment agreements; severance agreements, dependant contractor agreements and non-compete agreements. Liberty is currently developing a Civil Collaborative Law practice, as the Civil Chair of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania, to provide clients with a valuable alternative to traditional litigation.
Liberty also is able to assist clients in estate planning, by drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Directives/Living Wills, as well as estate probate.
