VM was a New Jersey State employee. in late 2014 VM, and her co-worker were escorting a juvenile to the Superior Court-Family Part located in Atlantic City. While VM was escorting the juvenile into t ... he courthouse he became verbally aggressive with, and failed to follow the commands of, Sheriff Officers. The Officers arrested the juvenile while VM and her co-worker observed same, Subsequently, VM and her co-worker were arrested, almost 30 hours later, and charged for allegedly assaulting the Sheriff Officers and obstructing the juvenile's arrest. Within months of their arrest VM and her colleague were terminated from their positions with the State (even though the criminal trial had yet to commence). After a 6 day trial, in the Atlantic City Municipal Court, the assault and obstruction charges were dismissed by the Judge. Also, VM and her co-worker are in the process of being reinstated to their State government positions.
