Thomas A. Kauffman

My teenage daughter had managed to get an underage drinking charge at IUP. We are not from that county so I was referred to Thomas to help represent my daughter. We had a hearing and since I had a fairly long drive we communicated through email and phone calls as well as meeting him right before the ...hearing. Thomas gave us the potential for a couple of outcomes, one of which would have suspended my daughter's drivers license. The policeman came to the hearing and we never even had to go before the magistrate. My daughter ended up with a fine and also no suspension. He was great to work with throughout the process. I am glad we were referred to him.

When needing a criminal lawyer and wanting the best, I'd most definitely suggest Mr. Kauffman!! My husband was facing being charged with simple assualt and harassment which we felt he did not commit. We feared that my husband, also on state parole for an incident in his past which he faced similar ch...arges, was surly going to be now facing years in state prison. I walked into Mr. Kauffman's office hoping he would at least be able to get the charges lowered if nothing else. Just from the small amount of time spent discussing the case with him, I thought to myself "This man knows what he's talking about and what he's doing!!" Not only was Mr. Kauffman willing to travel out of Indiana County and help us get my husbands charges lowered.. he did what we thought was impossible and had gotten the charges thrown out and dismissed at his preliminary hearing!! I was also extremely impressed on how not only Mr. Kauffman looked out and did what was best for his client, he was also caring and conciderate about our entire family throughout the ordeal as well!!! I would recommend Mr. Kauffman to any one and to every one in need of criminal defense!!
