Biography
Brocton G. Skeen is the Principal/Attorney of The Skeen Firm. His practice focuses on Estate Planning, Business, Real Estate, and Oil and Gas/Energy.
A graduate of Appalachian School of Law, in the heart of Virginia’s coal and gas country, Brocton has had a life long curiosity about the oil and gas and energy sectors of the economy. Before starting his practice he worked at one of the nations largest natural gas production companies, where he plied his negotiation skills and built an extensive title and real estate background in the company’s land department. This time period also allowed for the development of setting and executing business strategies, budgets, and project management.
A West Virginia native, Brocton is also a graduate of West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government, and holds a Master in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University. While at WVU Tech, his senior capstone project was published in The West Virginia Historical Society Quarterly based on the quality of his original research. In his spare time, he enjoys fly-fishing, hunting, hiking, and golfing.
