Michael G. Bock

In addition to being a construction attorney for 25+ years, I am also a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and California.  Prior to entering the legal profession, I worked in engineering and construction management capacities for Oxford Development company and for the American Bridge, USS Fabrication, and USS Realty Development Divisions of US Steel Corp.  I served as a Civil Engineering Officer in the United States Air Force, separating with an honorable discharge and the rank of Captain.      

My practice concentrates in all aspects of construction industry law, including construction industry litigation at both trial and appellate levels; alternative dispute resolution (including arbitration and mediation); preparation and negotiation of construction industry contracts on behalf of project owners, contractors and design proefssionals; and general counseling of construction industry clients.  

I provide construction arbitration and mediation services as a neutral for both the American Arbitration Association and the US District Court for the Western Distric of Pennsylvania.  

I am an adjunct professor in the University of Pittsburgh's Swanson School of Engineering.  I have served the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania as a 22-year board member and past president.
