Paul K. Vey

PAUL KENNETH VEY concentrates his practice in the field of civil litigation. Mr. Vey has traveled throughout the region and throughout the nation to serve as trial counsel for clients in complex, high-stakes matters.

Mr. Vey has represented clients in the widest variety of fields including commercial disputes, environmental and toxic exposures, nationally prominent environmental litigation, high-exposure medical malpractice and healthcare matters, and product liability. Mr. Vey frequently represents clients before administrative bodies and licensing boards in matters of insurance coverage and professional licensure. Mr. Vey has an outstanding record of success in defending cases through trial.

Mr. Vey repeatedly has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Vey has also been named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.

Mr. Vey is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Defense Trial Council of West Virginia. He is a three term member of the Judiciary Committee of Allegheny County. He also holds an appointment to the panel of arbitrators, American Arbitration Association and frequently acts as a mediator.

Mr. Vey frequently serves as an invited speaker to professional groups on a wide range of litigation – centered topics. He authored “Child Abuse: Your Standard of Care,” published in The Journal of Emergency Care and Transportation.

As an active member of the community, Mr. Vey serves on various community and charitable boards and advisory committees. He is a member of the Board of UPMC – St. Margaret Hospital and Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation. He has served as a child advocate through the Bar Foundation. He serves as a volunteer to The First Tee of Pittsburgh and its Scholarship Committee. The First Tee provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life – enhancing values through golf and character education.
