MARK GORDON, a founding partner, has achieved a national reputation for his expertise in the areas of risk management, business litigation, transportation law and workers’ compensation. Mr. Gordon created the firm’s Risk Management Practice Group, which is engaged in the oversight of litigation for the firm’s clients globally and which has been designed to reduce the costs of risk.
Mr. Gordon has served on the board of directors of several offshore captives, where he provides risk consulting and litigation oversight, in addition to his trial practice for captive members. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the benefit of post-loss risk management, the benefit of homogenous group captives, litigation controls and other risk management tools. He has been published on the financial benefits of litigation oversight, fraud and collateral dispute issues.
Mr. Gordon has recently been appointed Chair of the Risk Control Group for Fleet Solutions, Ltd., a Best in Class homogenous trucking captive. He oversees casualty losses for the captive in this capacity. He also has been named to the board of directors for Smith Transport, Inc. and Franklin Logistics, Inc., entities which provide Best in Class motor carrier services to an array of industries throughout the United States.
Mr. Gordon has served as an expert on casualty risk assessment, insurance, insurance bad faith, collateral retention and other business matters. He has served as a Discovery Master for the Federal District Courts in Pennsylvania on insurance bad faith claims.
Mr. Gordon serves as a Senior Committee Member for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and serves as a voluntary executive for the American Cancer Society, hosting Premiere Events in the Pittsburgh region from 2005-2014. Currently, he is Co-Chair of the American Cancer Society’s North Palm Beach, Florida region for its 2016 Gala Event.
