Divorce

Mr. John Foster was a god sent to me. I had a very difficult divorce and he worked diligently and got results. I highly recommend him. Thanks again John

Was sort of a headache

I gave him an average rating only because he did get the job done after months and months of back n forth emails and a lot of ignoring my emails, if he didn't know what I meant in my emails he would just ignore them instead of asking me, seems like he procrastinated a lot... But at the end he did get... my case handled except at the end I had to beg for my remaining retainer back, I seen a disciplinary board online about him which I still took my chances with him being he was one of the cheapest attorneys around... But take this review as you will and make your own choice on hiring mr. john foster...!

The Gold Star Attorney of the Greater Pittsburgh Area

I have worked with a number of attorneys throughout my divorce process. The experience was an arduous and difficult one until I came to hire John Foster. I cannot state enough positive words about John Foster. John was actually the fourth attorney that I worked with to attempt to resolve a myriad... of issues associated with my divorce (custody, relocation, child support, divorce filings, a spousal support suite against me, and avoiding the foreclosure on my home that my ex-husband was attempting to force). John is the only one that I've felt the need to take the time to write a review for. John was the only attorney to bring ANY of these matters to a close - in fact, he personally resolved all of them! I believe that anyone searching for an attorney should learn from my experience. Each and every step of the way, my ex husband presented as many challenges as he could. Not each attorney could handle it. The first accepted every chance to drag it out (despite their being so many issues & my very limited financial resources) and to increase his overall fees. The second let my ex-husband know about mistakes on his end - which he (of course) then did not repeat, which in the end put my daughter's best interests at jeapordy. He also had to research every question and issue due to lack of expertise, which at times negatively impacted the outcome of my proceedings. The third quite simply could not handle the challenging, combative nature of my ex-husband. Moreover, she was worse than the second attorney in that she did not even know where to go for the information that she needed in order to adequately represent & counsel me! John Foster, however, has absolutely stood alone as the only attorney who was ALWAYS at the ready for ANY challenge presented to him. He can truly handle anything that is thrown at him, and he does so with truly seasoned expertise. The law is written in his mind, and he is able to quickly reference it to provide immediate expert advise to to challenge those who may attempt to infringe upon your entitlements or rights. If you are trying to determine how to proceed on a matter, he can immediately advise you on all options, as well as their short and long term impact to you. If you are sued, he immediately springs into action, presents the possible outcomes to you, steps to take, and represents you with power and strength in court. Moreover, John does not extend matters to benefit himself, as one of my previous attorneys did to me. He has his clients' best interests at heart, and unlike other attorneys that I hired during this process, he is absolutely more than honest and fair as far as billing hours and rates are concerned - he is often gracious. He appears to consider himself a civil servant, and the reward is not entirely financial for him - ultimately, he just wants to help you. It is rare that I take the time to write a review, but in the case of John Foster, he has impacted both my life and that of my child so dramatically that I feel that a review is not only deserved, it is necessary. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking an attorney that they strongly consider choosing John Foster.

Prepared and Experienced

John was referred to me by a family friend. From the moment we spoke about my case, he continually spent time and effort ensuring that the outcome of my case would be favorable. He is a kind man that took time to know me and the circumstances that surrounded my case--I was not just another client. Bo...th in and out of court, John's number one priority was to fight on my behalf and the give me the best outcome for the less-than-favorable situation I had found myself in. As someone who has had no experience in the legal system, I trusted John to ensure that my rights were kept in tact. As a man of integrity, I would recommend John with no hesitation. John treated me with respect and dignity as he professionally worked on my behalf.
