Deborah Conflenti was great

Deborah was very professional and helpful. She handled my divorce and custody. I appreciated her kindness and patience during that time in my life. She made sure I was aware of all my court dates and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. I appreciate all the effort she put in on ...my family's behalf. Thank you, Debbie.

Collaborative - Yes, Court - No

Debbie was always responsive to calls, completed tasks in a timely manner, and enabled me to take care of certain jobs myself to save money. If you need to negotiate a case collaboratively, this is probably a decent attorney to retain. However, if your divorce case is with an adversarial spouse..., this was not an attorney who ever seemed willing to go to court. I took her advice to try and negotiate over and over and over again…with a spouse or opposing attorney who had no interest in resolving issues. This cost a lot of money and produced no results. I was also advised to make compromises because of the reputation of the opposing attorney. While your attorney owes you an explanation of the possible outcomes of the process, it isn't necessary or constructive to use a Bogeyman approach. This caused unnecessary anxiety for me and was not in the best interests of myself or my children. It also seemed the explanations of the process and avenues of resolution changed frequently. Attorneys should never be hesitant to go to court when it is clear that a case cannot be solved through negotiation by the parties involved. If someone ignores the order of the court and thinks the law does not apply to them, then the court is the appropriate avenue for resolution. Hire an attorney who understands that; I ended up hiring someone else.

Scam Artist

Well where do I start, I'll keep it short and sweet. As a person she might be ok, as an attorney who supposed to be representing her clients best interest forget it, all about money, scared to go to bat for you in front of Judge for fear of reprocussions on other cases she has in front of same Judge..., Double Charges, make sure you go over your invoices, charges to talk with the other party without consulting with her client first, would not recommend as attorney. Client did the majority of the work, ie.. getting documents, information, etc.
