I hired Attorney Wakefield after seeing the good reviews here, but I did not have a good experience. Felt overpromised and underdelivered. Communication was difficult; she was quick to respond in the initial consult, but after we funded the retainer, it seemed our case was no longer a priority. Expe...ct several days or more between responses to short questions. We were verbally told timeframes that ultimately were not met. Luckily we ended it early, but we lost a bit of money and a few valuable weeks of time in our case. Review her contract carefully and get multiple opinions on your case before making a decision. This review is my personal opinion based on my experience.

Kathryn gave us very clear explanation on options available to us on initial contact regarding property sale dispute. Once hired she kept us informed on our claim status. She never talked down to us or used legalize. We were more than satisfied with the monetary amount received without having to g...o to court. She definitely knows real estate law. We highly recommend Kathryn Wakefield.

Kathryn has helped me personally and with my property management company in a couple different areas. She has done my closing when I was purchasing a house, she drew up the deed for a property my business was selling. She is in the process of helping me take a previous tenant to court for some money ...they owe me. Kathryn is always available to give me some quick advice via email, text, or calling her. She responds very quickly. If I don't understand something small or the whole process of a situation, Kathryn is able to explain it to me and explain it in common, laymen terms. She doesn't make me feel more confused when I walk out than when I walked in. She ACTUALLY helps! AND, she even had made some time to speak at a property management class I was teaching at CCAC.

We filed a complaint against a real estate agent and seller for failing to disclose a significant problem with a property that we purchased. I think it was a complicated case and difficult to prove. Kathryn is very knowledgeable and did an excellent job preparing the case, communicating with all ...parties involved and crafting the complaint document. She successfully negotiated a settlement and avoided going to trial. Highly recommended.
