I grew up in sunny Florida and attended The Florida State University as an undergraduate. I then moved to Pennsylvania and attended the University of PIttsburgh School of Law. Following graduation, I served as a judicial law clerk for two years to the Honorable Daniel L. Leland, District Chief Judge (retired) of the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges in Pittsburgh. I then spent over 12 years handling federal black lung claims from inception through the appellate process, including appeals to the Benefits Review Board and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Deciding I needed a change, I started working in the appellate department of OBL in 2017, where I use my background in administrative proceedings to advocate for individuals seeking Social Security Disabilty benefits in federal district courts across the country.
