David Charles Brumfield

Dave was born in Trenton, New Jersey and grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs. He attended Ithaca College with a history major at graduation cum laude with honors. While at Ithaca Dave was an All-American and National Champion on the Ithaca College Football Team. Dave attended Duke University Law School graduating in 1996. After graduation Dave returned to his home and began his career in Philadelphia Firm of Gallagher, Reilly and Lachat. The firm handled personal injury litigation matters. The firm allowed Dave to get a fast start on his career getting valuable trial experience within just a few months of joining the firm. In 1997 Dave and his wife, Michelle moved to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where he began working at Tucker Arensburg, PC in the litigation department. Dave represented a wide range of clients in a wide range of matters including property damage, personal injury and contract disputes. In his time with the well-respected firm Dave was able to try two cases and developed his litigation practice by being exposed to more complex commercial matters as well as continuing to represent people for property damage, personal injury and breach of contract claims.

In 1999 Dave began working with Charles Alpern at Kiger and Alpern. Dave and Chuck continued to work together to this date progressing from Kiger and Alpern to Charles Alpern and Associates to AlpernSchubert PC. During that time Dave continued to work representing injured parties and those treated unfairly by insurance companies and large corporations. Dave has handled a wide range of matters in his 20 years in practicing law. His experience allowed him to focus in personal injury and bad faith. Included in Dave’s experience is one of the ten largest verdicts in Pennsylvania for tortious interference with contractual relationship in 2011. During Dave’s career he has become a highly reputable attorney in the State of Pennsylvania and he became a partner in AlpernSchubert PC in 2013.

In addition to practicing law, Dave is also elected to two terms as the 4th Ward Commissioner for Mt. Lebanon. Dave also served on the Boards of the Mt. Lebanon Library, the Medical Rescue Team South Authority, (EMS Service). Dave and his wife Michelle have two children, Connor and Jessica. Connor is currently attending Ithaca College as a physical therapy major and playing lacrosse. Jessica is a sophomore at Mt. Lebanon High School who loves writing, playing the bass guitar and learning more about psychology. Dave and his family are members of the Sunset Hills Presbyterian Church where he is an elder and taught Sunday School and chaperoned many mission trips. He is also a former coach for football and lacrosse and a current member of the Mt. Lebanon Lacrosse Association Board.
