Last couple years I’ve had some major legal battles going on and Mike was there to fight it all. When it first started he told me he would get everything dropped and that’s exactly what he did. Then I made a dumb mistake and got a dui and again he was there and got me taken care of on that also. If y...our looking for the best well look no further because he is the best.

I will start this by qualifying my review. I am 66 years of age, been in business over 35 years, sued companies, been sued, fight with regulatory agencies and therefore have experienced civil and criminal actions. Been all the way around the block. I have to say lawyers are like doctors.......the...re are so many to choose from but unfortunately many are terrible. They don't care! I am speaking of locals, a nation- wide firm and 3 former federal prosecutors that I have been through while spending over 3 million dollars!!!!! Ever experience a lawyer that's slow to return your call, then you meet him and they say "they can't do that to you" or "we'll show them", etc.? Then charge you a large retainer, burn through it in no time, don't communicate well, and then get little to no results? Sound familiar? To those of you that know what I'm talking about, I share your pain and to those of you that are new to legal matters, you do not want to know or experience this. It will literally steal your life as it did mine! Until I met Mike. It started out by needing a local lawyer for a family member in a DUI related matter that quickly turned into an unimaginable mess in Beaver and a neighboring county. Mike handled the Beaver matter by getting it dismissed but the other matter was something else. It was serious. He genuinely explained to us that "I could take your money and handle it but, I would be doing you a great disservice". "If I were you, this is who I would hire for this". He then contacted the other lawyer friend of his in the other county and asked if he could keep this client out of jail and the other lawyer thought about it and responded "yes". BTW, the other lawyer's retainer was $20,000 but ended in favorable results. Mike gave the best, unselfish advice. Who does something like this and walks away from 20K??? A person (lawyer) with uncommon integrity and honor....... Michael Carland actually did this!!! I have also recently had a serious business matter in California that I have hired/fired multiple California lawyers to handle only with great chaos over a 3 year period (the part that stole my life). I was facing 8 years and millions of dollars in fines. Michael's help and advice in navigating through that nightmare when the others were stumbling was immeasurable! Again, it ended well. Finally, I had a civil matter (which Mike doesn't even do) in trying to collect on a note for the sale of one of my businesses. I was telling him about it as I have come to greatly value his opinion and advice. As I recall, he told me a day or 2 later to my surprise, that he had spoken to the other lawyer and got it settled for more than I expected. Again, it ended well. I hope one day soon to show him how appreciated he is for his kindness. Michael has literally saved our lives and through it all, not only has he proven to be an incredible lawyer but, a trusted and valued family friend. All because he really cares about his clients!
