$1500 for a bankruptcy is too much ....
I went to see him but he wanted $1,500.00, how does one come up with this amount of cash .....

Replied last April 27, 2011The fees that I quote for bankruptcy are based on my expectation of the work to be involved after discussing the matter with the client. The figure quoted here probably includes the $299 filing fee which I receive but have to pay to the court to file the bankruptcy. The remaining $1,200 for my fee is more than the amount I usually charge which indicates that this individual's case required more work than the "standard" bankruptcy.
