Kathleen Moriarty, a resident of Ellicottville, lives and works full time in Ellicottville. Ms. Moriarty grew up in Buffalo, New York but spent most weekends in Ellicottville with her family. After receiving her M.Ed. in secondary mathematics, she taught for two years at Canisius High School in Buffalo and spent another two years teaching at a charter school in Denver, Colorado. Ms. Moriarty then pursued her J.D. at the University of Buffalo Law School, graduating in May 2010.

Incompetent. Lacks ethics. Failed to represent our interests.
Moriarty drafted erroneous legal description on deed. Did not read contract. Failed to provide survey copies. Never offered apology. Attempted to drum up her billing by charging for revisions required due to her errors. When I refused to pay just the overbilling charges, she dropped us.

Disappointed
I was a satisfied client with Peters and Ploetz for many years. The firm was well-run and the attorneys did what was right by their clients. I'm sad to say this reputation has not continued since Ms. Moriarty took over the firm. I only recently was sent legal papers that I was supposed to receive ...
