Kristin Merrick Review

Kristin was very professional and caring with my case. Always willing to communicate with me. Would definitely have her represent me again.

A great lawyer who saved a helpless student

I strongly recommend Kristin, her team and her firm Faraci Lange. You will never regret to have Kristin on your side when you are in difficult time. I am an international student studying here in the U.S. I was involved in a traffic accident. I was crossing an intersection with green light and the o...ther vehicle was in my opposite direction and was turning left into another road. We had collision in the middle of the intersection. The police officer was standing on my side and offered a police report that says the other driver is at fault that she failed to yield the right of way to me. But what makes me really disappointed was that the insurance company of the other driver State Farm claim that I have 50 percent liability. State Farm was taking advantage of me, since I have no collision insurance with my insurance company Geico, and Geico was doing nothing to argue for me. I got an estimate that the damage will cost me 15000 dollars, while I am a PhD student and my stipend for a year is only 22000. Suddenly, I was hit to the bottom rock of my life. I can never afford this cost without the help from my family. I am also so sad about my car, since I take very good care of it. I made more than 20 phone calls but State Farm never change their decisions. They just trust the other drivers' subjective statement (lie). State Farm is a company that takes no social responsibility and only takes into account the so-called evidence which is good for them. I was so desperate and helpless. During the month after the accident, I could not work on my research. Then, I approached Faraci Lange through the directory that was given by University of Rochester International Student Office. Though Faraci seldom takes cases which do not involve injuries, Kristin contacted me and said she was willing to help. She was so helpful and kind that she cared about me and my bad situation. She is willing to offer me pro bono service. That's so nice of her. I have reached out to several lawyers from other firms, but they are offering advices that are not constructive at all, and talking to them cost me 50 dollars each time. Kristin is my savior and to be frank, she is the only person who is helping me through this, and she is asking for nothing. I am thankful to her for a life time. She is very professional and efficient as an attorney. It only took her three weeks to let State Farm give up unreasonable 50:50 liability statement and offer me 90:10, while I spent one month and made 20+ phone calls and got nothing. She always keeps me updated after each call she made to State Farm on behalf of me. And in each update, there is always good news and her professional advice on what the next step she will take. She is very patient in answering my questions, even the most simple ones. She also shows respect to my decision, and she is always asking for my consent. She saved me from one of the lowest point of my life. Kristin and her firm Faraci Lange are professional, helpful and have a strong sense of social responsibility. I am not a native speaker, thus what I wrote can never express fully how thankful I am to Kristin and her team. Choose Kristin, you will never regret!
