Donald Mark Thompson

I hired Donald Mark Thompson in Oct, 2009. He charged me $15,000 cash up front for a simple marijuana charge that I was entitled by law to go through drug court. I had legally borrowed money from my home equity loan and proved that to him with every bank transaction I ever made with my credit union w...ithin the first month 8 years ago this Oct. The police stole from my home and bank account over $25,000. My co defendant spent half as much money and had several Class B felonies that should have not qualified him for drug court. Specifically, he was charged with a large quantity of heroin, methadone, morphine and several other non prescribed class B felonies, and 140 marijuana plants growing in his house. I ended up completing drug court after 1.5 years. I ended up with a conviction and my co defendant got a sealed record. That was his third conviction. 2 in NYS and one in NJ. All sealed and he is now earning over $100,000 per year legally as a professional engineer. I am disabled and live on a tiny SSDI check after being run over on my motorcycle by a drunk driver. They did not take a penny from him. Mr. Thompson for 8 years has been dragging his feet and committed Mal Practice against me. He was thrown out of the Federal court in Rochester NY and yesterday I had an 8 minute hearing in NYC appeals court. He promised to call me after the meeting but did not keep his word. Would you want an attorney like that working for you? I am now going to retain a Mal Practice attorney from a bigger city who says I have a very strong case against him. I have offered to mitigate damages several times, asked for his Insurance carrier and policy. He refused. I asked if the partners are aware of his incompetence and if they would like to settle without insurance or court. Today I left messages for his partners so that they are aware of this nonsense wasting 8 years without a single Federal court appearance. In the beginning he told me he does a lot of work in the Federal court and that was why he was charging twice the going rate. He said the police had to lie to get a search warrant since I was nowhere's near my house when arrested. He calls himself a deep thinker. I think differently. He should have settled with me long ago. Many many years ago. This could drag out 8 more years and he could care less about me or my family. That gets personal. He is not a man of his word and hurt me much more than he helped.
