My practice consists of trial, appellate and post-conviction matters, in all military courts as well as New York State courts. I also do federal appellate cases. I have been handling criminal, constitutional and military matters since 1975. I spent 5 years on active duty as an AF JAG, with 2 tours as a defense counsel. I then spent 22 years in the AF Reserves. I also spent 11 years in the Public Defender's violent felony bureau. I have tried over 225 cases, military and civilian.

Military matter
I am currently a client. I do not know what the outcome of my case will be. I do know that I have been blessed to find a man who not only has the professional skills necessary to handle my case, but who also has the heart. My Rehkopf is a professional man who knows what he is doing. He is also a man that cares about his clients and the men and woman in uniform who serve and have served our country. For him it is about what is "right". I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants a job that will be well done by a person of skill, knowledge and compassion.

AWESOME!!!
Don was great! When I didn't understand the legal terms he was referring to he didn't let them just go over my head he would explain them until I understood and was on the same page. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him to anyone in need of legal advice or help. He was definitely money well spent.

Responsive and Knowledgeable
I have been a law enforcement officer for over 15 years. As such, I have encountered enumerable attorneys, but never one that was more knowledgeable, more compassionate, more responsive or more willing to help than Don Rehkopf. He is a strong figure that commands respect and attention. He draws upon his vast experience to effectively care for his client’s legal matters as well as their personal well being. He is extremely responsive and strives to keep his clients fully informed. He couples his thorough knowledge and eagerness to achieve a positive outcome with a touch of personal concern that, when combined, makes him the most effective attorney possible. I would recommend Don without hesitation.
