George Alphonse Schell Jr.

George A. Schell, Jr. concentrates his practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate and lender servicing.  He regularly works with buyers and sellers in the purchase, sale, or lease of residential and commercial properties and he represents lenders in residential and commercial mortgage lending.

His experience in lender servicing and banking law consists of representing both residential and commercial lenders and servicers in the financing and servicing of residential and commercial real estate, including: mortgage lending; lines of credit; evictions; and foreclosure of residential properties. He oversees closings for mortgage lenders in every county of the State of New York, from title generation through closing.  The types of loans closed include, but are not limited to the following: conventional, FHA, VA, SONYMA, rural development, reverse mortgages, construction loans, commercial loans and NYS Consolidation, Extension, and Modification Agreement transactions.

George believes in a detail oriented approach to ensure maximum results for each of his clients.  George and his highly trained staff ensure that every matter is handled professionally, timely, and thoroughly.

George is a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School, the University of Rochester and the Villanova University School of Law.  While at Villanova, George was the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Villanova University School of Law Sports and Entertainment Law Forum.

George is an active participant in and supporter of the Volunteer Legal Services Project.  In the year 2000, he was the recipient of the William E. McKnight Award annually awarded by the Volunteer Legal Services Project to the Monroe County New York attorney who best exemplifies high quality service to indigent clients.  In the year 2006, he was designated Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association in recognition of his pro bono service.
