I hired Cheney Law Firm for an eviction and paid the upfront fee the same day they requested it. Ben confirmed they received it. More than a week later, I called for an update and was told they were still waiting for payment. They only started the process after that call, costing me another month in ...the eviction and another month of property expenses. I also gave them the name of another person living there in April. In July, I was told they hadn’t known she was there and hadn’t given her the required notice. I pointed out my earlier email but felt I got excuses instead of accountability. The delays cost me more money, and their final invoice didn’t even credit my upfront payment. I asked for a corrected invoice and still haven’t received a response.
