I had no dealings with the attorney, only with a paralegal and a legal assistant. The paralegal was an extremely poor advocate and many people were shocked when I talked about the demeaning way that she spoke to me. When I asked her to contact those who could move the process along she insisted it would not be appropriate. She asked me several times to make contacts with my bank to get materials it was her responsibility to access. Despite several clear communications regarding the kind of check I needed to get in order to wire money to facilitate my closing that did not happen. On the day of my move, waiting outside my new house for authorization to get keys, I called to ask her to fax a document to the title company. She asked me to contact my loan officer to do it. I had nothing but my phone and no contact numbers. She would not do something it would have taken her 1 minute to do but took me several phone calls and 40 minutes to accomplish because the loan officer was not in his office when I called. In the end, my move cost me over $2000 more because of her refusal to serve as an advocate and despite her insistence that she had moved many people out of state. The things that needed to be done properly were not done.
