This would be my third time going to Mr Herdzik for representation. He handled two bankruptcies and is currently representing me in a support proceeding. I have a pretty good rapport with him (out of poor/fair/good/great/excellent). I’m not sure how effective he might be, but I trust that he will do ...his due diligence as he has done in my other two cases. Although I understand that bankruptcy and family law are two different arenas, I trust that he will handle my case with care. I have a unique case, but overall not too complex, more so straightforward. His fee was reasonable…we’ll see how it goes! I’ll be back for an update; )

I hired this guy for a custody case. He's not a good lawyer. He did not advocate for me and did the bare minimum. He seemed out-of-place in the family court setting. He blindly followed the law guardian's recommendations. He filed paperwork that wasn't worded correctly which caused issues. HE DID NOT... RETURN MY UNUSED RETAINER MONEY AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND LETTERS. UPON ANOTHER LAWYER'S SUGGESTION, I SENT A LETTER VIA REGISTERED MAIL (SO I'D HAVE PROOF IT WAS SENT). ONLY THEN DID HE RETURN THE MONEY.

I hired Matthew Herdzik for my case. He was extremely poor in communication often times not getting back to me for weeks. In order to get a hold of him I would have to call the office daily until I got lucky. He also made numerous errors on my paperwork. He never gave me copies to review until after ...court and I looked bad in front of the judge because of this. Matthew never owned up to his fault in this matter. He also missed important deadlines in filing my paperwork and completing my reaffirmation agreement in a timely manner. I filed in July and he never completed my paperwork till sept which was already past the deadline. Because of this I can no longer have this reaffirmation done. He had the attitude of "I don't know what to tell you" and again never owned up to his fault in this matter but instead blamed it on others. I told him I wanted him to look into reopening the case in order to have this done and he did, but then sent me a letter stating because I missed the deadline the judge will not reopen the case. I would never go to him again to represent me on any case!
