Do not hire this person and save yourself a lot of heartache and money…She did not keep me informed, she was disrespectful, rude, condescending and seemed to purposefully drag things out when our divorce should have been a quicker process. As I read in other reviews, she seemed to be working for the... other side as evidenced by her actions and was against me throughout the entire process…she never spoke to me as her client but as someone substandard to her nor did she prepare me for anything to come so I would know what to expect, then she would get angry with me for not knowing something …it seemed that I was telling her what to do at times…it was the most horrible experience

This lawyer was extremely disorganized, unprepared and unprofessional. She did not file the proper adjournment for my pretrial hearing in 09 and as a result the judge heard my ex husband without us present. The judge issued an order that I received in the mail and I had to call Katherine and ask h...er to check her mail because she didn't believe me. Her lack of proper document filing was the reason the judge never respected her or listened to her. She also displayed extreme lack of professionalism when communicating with the law guardian. As if all of this was not enough she showed up to court the day of my trial and asked my family members to fill out questionnaires for testimony in the waiting area. During this process one of my family members had to tell her to check her skirt because it was fully unzipped as she frantically ran around trying to slap together her trial information. The outcome- She took all my money and did nothing but destroy mine and my son's life . I continue to fight in court to this day to try to reverse what her mistake. My son has had to meet with a court ordered psychologist and the Dr. point blank said to me "once the judge hears one party and makes a ruling then they almost never change it". All Katherine had to do was show up and my son would have been protected.

I used Ms. Bestine for a divorce proceeding that was almost complete. She had court orders that she never filed on several occasions which cost me terribly. When I did speak with her she was short and agrumentative. She often would swear at me! I actually took a friend into the meetings just to wit...ness her behaviour. They were shocked. I ended up terminating my agreement with her since most of my communications with her were to remind her to sumbit court orders that were sitting on her desk for months. My new attorney reviewed my case and was shocked at the mess I brought in. I paid more to here than my previous attorney and she accomplished nothing! RUN!!!!

I was a client for Ms Bestine. There was never a time when she would return my calls, and i didnt call very often, only in an emergency situation. She never kept me informed of anything..i may as well have represented myself. I felt as though she was for the other side at many times. She forgot to ha...ve something put in my divorce decree, and i lost $5,000.00. When my alimony was supposed to stop, she waited 5 months to do anything about it. That was an extra 200.00 per week that was leaving my paycheck, but she didnt care. She never seemed to be in the fight for me, which made me very upset. I often though she was in cahoots with the other attorney. To make a long story short..i lost everything in the divorce, and actually had to pay extra. So i urge anyone that is looking for an attorney, do not go to this firm. It will end up costing you 13,000.00 in attorney fees, and you will loose everyting. OH, and it also took me 3 1/2 years to get divorced. I rate her as two thumbs down!
