This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
After being disbarred, a former attorney may apply for reinstatement. He or she must comply with all readmission requirements from the New York State Unified Court System.
Disbarment is the most serious penalty for a lawyer. If this attorney is currently practicing law, you should contact the Appellate Division of the State Supreme Court to understand the reasons for disbarment.

I found Attodrney Casey to be honest, reliable, keen on the nuances of the law plus humane and tender hearted. In the case we shared he went well out of his way to help a client and her child. He even brought the child to my house for a professional evaluation and moral support when actual relatives were unable to come. He is not a "meter reader" attorney, clocking hours and charging hard and fast. In fact he is the opposite. I have dealt with "meter reader" lawyers who dump you or refuse service till their payment is made. This is not Attorney Casey. Anyone would be fortunate to have this man representing their wellbeing and welfare. He is reflective, not impulsive and he thinks through potential "unintended consequences" of rash decisions that many in legal battles are tempted to make. He is smart and worth being listened to.
Endorsements from fellow lawyers are an important consideration for many when selecting the right attorney. Be the first to endorse your colleague!
