I contacted Attorney Delreese Toteniel on July 9, 2026 via email, regarding a serious and time-sensitive issue with my probation officer. On July 7th, I was confronted and harassed by multiple staff members at the Family Court building while waiting for my scheduled appointment. My probation officer ...then threatened to file a violation against me for “my attitude” even though I had not been aggressive. He also ordered me to appear in his office on July 14th at 11:00 AM — an extra trip I cannot afford. I sent Attorney Toteniel a detailed email explaining the situation and asking for advice on how to handle the threatened violation and the required appearance. She called me today July 10th at 10:00 AM and stated that she is no longer my attorney and that she would not be responding to my email or providing any assistance. She gave me no information about who my new attorney is, how to contact them, or what steps I should take. She was cold, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help during what is a critical and stressful time for me as someone on probation facing a potential violation. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic courtesy is unacceptable, especially when a client is reaching out about an urgent legal matter involving their freedom and compliance with probation. I was left without representation or guidance at a moment when I needed it most. I do not recommend Attorney Delreese Toteniel.
