In re the Marriage of Webb and Christiansen, 284 P.3d 107 (Colo.App. Div. 2 2011)
Aug 18, 2011OUTCOME: Trial court was overturned and the court articulated tighter standards for remedial contempt findings.
As trial counsel and co-counsel on appeal we sought to set aside an award of attorney fees entered against our client, Dana L. Christiansen, after a trial court finding of remedial contempt for failing ... to notify the father prior to seeking medical treatment. There was no way that our client could purge the contempt, so therefore the finding of remedial contempt and the subsequent award could not stand.
