Avoid this firm! I wish I would've listened to previous reviews. I paid this firm over $30,000 in the last 10 months in a divorce case where my wife has severe dementia and her brother filed on her behalf. I sent my attorney, James Sansone, all the evidence to build a case, and assumed he was doing s...o. As it turns out, he did nothing, didn't even look at or read what I was submitting. They were demanding 5k-6k payments every few weeks the last few months, pay now! And every message is through Clio and you have to go through a process to read and submit and if it times out while submitting things, you need to start over. We went to mediation a few months ago and I couldn't accept what the other side was asking for, way more than 50/50. My attorney says on Zoom, should we swing for the fences and get this dismissed at trial? I say yes, I don't see another option. Doesn't say anything about not representing me at trial. Trial is a few weeks away. I keep submitting things and making huge payments to the firm. On late Friday evening before everything is due to court, James says in a Clio message that he doesn't go to trial and that I need to submit everything required by Monday, I didn't even know what some of it was. I immediately became my own attorney, learned on the fly, tried to get a continuance to get representation and was denied. I ended up in a 3 day trial, unrepresented, and have to pay my POA brother in law 392,000, guy has never worked a day in his life. I will do everything I can to get this man disbarred when this is all over. Stay away from Cowlitz law firm!
