Ms. McElroy was referred to me by the Bar Association's referral service. With an impending court date of 12/5/11, I have tried repeatedly to contact Ms. McElroy, but she is never "available" and does not respond to voice-mail messages. I have looked further into other attorneys, and suggest th...at anyone in need of an attorney do the same if they need an attorney who is responsive and reliable. The Bar Association and this website have lists of types of cases which lawyers are supposed to specialize in, and through which the Bar Association makes its referrals, but nothing on this site's list applies. One might be better off searching this website or the Yellow Pages for an attorney who is responsive and reliable, than getting a referral from the Bar Association to Ms. McElroy.

I brought a highly sensitive case to her based on the Bar Association’s recommendation and at our initial meeting she seemed very sincere. She stated she would write a letter on my behalf to help resolve my issue (contingent upon me sending her a copy of the medical records that documented the diagn...osis). When I called to follow-up (after sending her the records) she completely changed her story and said I needed to write the letter… I sent two emails in hopes she would honor her promise and she has yet to respond. She took my consultation fee and ignored me… While it may not be a lot, it’s the principle… I am very disappointed and feel stupid for not trusting the previous review.
