Christopher David Hameline

Ever since childhood, attorney Christopher Hameline was destined to practice law. Learning from a father that spent 40 years serving the Oneida County population as an Assistant District Attorney, it was only natural for him to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Mr. Hameline is a local product, having graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, New York. After high school, Christopher attended Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where he majored in history, with a minor in philosophy.

After college, Chris worked in the finance field before electing to attend Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While at WMU, Chris was a member of the St. Thomas Moore Society.

After obtaining his Juris Doctor, Chris returned home to Oneida County where he began his career at the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney.

Through his experience with the D.A.’s Office, Chris has practiced in almost every town, village, and city court in Oneida County, gaining invaluable experience on the workings of each individual court and their practices.

Chris has tried every possible case in the criminal justice system, from simple traffic infractions to complex felony murder, and everything in between.

While with the D.A.’s Office, Mr. Hameline was tasked, for a number of years, with prosecuting Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) offenses. He was also a member of the Special Victim’s Bureau, which dealt solely with domestic violence, rape, and child victims. Chris has attended some of the most comprehensive trainings available in the northeast on these subjects.

In 2016, Chris left the District Attorney’s Office after devoting 8 years to the community. However, Chris still devotes his practice to his community by representing his clients with the experience and tools he has developed throughout his legal career.
