Biography
Jim is the Managing Shareholder at James T. Snyder Law, PLLC. He is recognized as a New York Super Lawyer. Jim began his career as a senior trial attorney with The Legal Aid Society of New York City, in the Brooklyn office of the Criminal Defense Division, where he represented thousands of the poorest New Yorkers accused of crimes. Jim then served as a speechwriter, Senior Staff member, and Assistant Counsel to Governor Mario M. Cuomo in the Executive Chamber in Albany, N.Y. Jim returned to Syracuse and Central New York to practice civil trial law, where he has successfully represented hundreds of injured claimants in motor vehicle, product liability, medical malpractice, and general negligence claims. Jim is also a Professor in the Political Science Department of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, where he teaches Constitutional Law, Law and Politics, Legal Research and Writing, Legal Process, and Poverty and the Law.
