Sharon Ames has played a tremendous role in the growth of our US subsidiary.

Our company engaged Ms. Ames to help us apply for US work visas, specifically an H1B for one of our Canadian sales managers and an L1A for myself, the company's President (also Canadian). Ms. Ames helped us to understand the various categories of visa that we could consider for each candidate and hel...ped us to choose the most appropriate categories. The application processes were long and very detailed. In both instances there were also RFEs (requests for further evidence) and again Ms. Ames helped us understand the process and worked patiently with members of our team to draw out and assemble the data required to satisfy the requests. Even now, as our company expands and our manager moves across the US opening new operations for us, Ms. Ames stays on top of us to ensure we file the appropriate amendments and forms to maintain compliance with the requirements of his visa. Ms. Ames' fees were very fair and despite the fact that we were hundreds of KMs (CDN version of miles!) away we always felt that our interests were extremely well represented and that we could have absolute trust in Ms. Ames advice and integrity. Finally, I should mention that Ms. Ames is a real pleasure to work with and someone we are pleased to have met and hope to continue to have a relationship with. We have worked with many lawyers and I have enjoyed working with Ms. Ames more than any other lawyer who has represented us. I would recommend Ms. Ames to any friend, family member or business associate without equivocation.

Fine immigration lawyer

Sharon works tirelessly to represent immigrants She helped me apply for humanitarian visas for my Guatemalan clients who needed to come back to the U.S. to give deposition testimony in their personal injury case. She was responsive, honest and diligent. She has my full endorsement

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
